Gabriele Mierzwa was born in 1958 in Swientochlowitz/Upper Silesia.
1971 - 1978 student in the studio of Prof. Henryk Dzieciol.
1972 Gold Medal J. Nehru at the World Competition/Painting in India, received from Indira Gandhi.
1973 - 1979 Art School in Katowice with Prof. Maria Bukietynska.
1979 Diploma thesis.
Since 1985 Gabriele Mierzwa has been working as a freelance artist. She draws and paints sensitive pastels, watercolors, and oil paintings, whose depictions repeatedly focus on the human body and its language, often framed by a light, erotic radiance.
Her lithographs are created in the stone printing workshops Fritz + Kunz and at Matthieu, Zurich. Numerous group and solo exhibitions at home and abroad.
